LUSH Review: Avobath Bath Ballistic

avobath

This bath bomb leaves skin feeling soft with a subtle shimmer but is lacking in the smell department

Rating: 3/5 Not great, unlikely to repurchase

Use: Bath ballistic. Fill a bath with warm water and drop the ballistic in

Effect: Fizzes out to create shimmering pale lime green water, softens skin and leaves a very subtle shimmer

Smell: Lemongrass and a hint of bergamot. Not as strong in the bath, just whiffs of lemongrass

Texture: Softens the water and made skin feel soft after use

Frequency: Have tried this once, not something I’m dying to use again

Vegan: Yes

Size: 200g, 7 cm tall, 7 cm diameter

Lasts: One bath, 2 minutes to fizz out

Love: The shimmer in the bath was actually quite lovely. I am not a glitter person and really liked it.

Hate: That it didn’t smell strongly of lemongrass once in the bath, and wasn’t as moisturising as I hoped

Condition: Arrived in great condition, just with some rubbing from the other ballistics in the gift box

Price: AU $6.75, US $6.35, UK £3.25

Storage: Keep in the plastic or paper bag it came in, if naked wrap in cling wrap to stop rubbing and keep in a box by the tub

Top Tip: This would go well with the Snowglobe soap (review to come)

  1. I’ve been really enjoying your reviews – they’re very helpful! I just wondered, though, whether you could find an alternative to suggesting that you wrap solid Lush products in clingfilm to store them? As Lush is trying to reduce the amount of plastic it uses in its packaging, I think this is something we should follow on with when we get their products home. Just a thought – let me know what you think 🙂

    • Thank you and great point! I hang onto the bags the products come in and reuse those wherever I can, which is really the ideal. But I just got a big gift set and they had all rubbed on one another and l was out of bags so resorted to cling wrap. Maybe resealable bags would be a better alternative!

      • Ah okay, fair enough! That sounds better – or maybe reusable bags? You could always wash them before you use them again for something else. Thanks for replying, great to hear what you think.
